The 4th Ecovillage Conference TOKYO 2010(May 28th – 30th)

“Ecovillage” is growing in the world as environmentaly-friendly lifestyle that builds a mutually-supportive community. In recent years, it attracts attention to various aspects like realization of low-carbon society, energy issues, food safety and social security for comprehensive solution. In Japan, activities for ecovillage is developing now.

BeGood Cafe has organized the “Ecovillage Conference” since 2006 as meeting point that provides various examples of ecovillage in the world and activities here in Japan. This is the only civic conference in Japan. The fourth Ecovillage Conference will be held from May 28 th to 30 th under the theme “Relocalization for the sustainable earth: Reconstruction of the urban and Ecovillage solution for the rural areas”. Examples of development of low-carbon community and local revitalization (urban revitalization, regeneration of farming and mountain village etc.) will be presented as main points by guests from Japan and abroad. There are various programs including lecture and workshop at the conference.
